Biography
Professor Rajendran (Raj) has 36 years of research & teaching experience in biomedical textiles and is currently working at the University of Bolton, Bolton, UK. He has successfully led a number of research programmes in the past funded by companies and government funding agencies as evidenced by the fact that he has so far authored 168 publications and that include 4 books, 6 monographs, 19 book chapters and 8 patents. In addition to academic activities, Raj is actively involved in Textile Institute’s affairs for many years. He is a Fellow of the Textile Institute (TI) and currently a member of Board, Council and was Chair of Professional Qualifications Committee of the TI for 4 years. He is the recipient of a prestigious Research Fellowship award from the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO).
